The Applications Development Senior Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities Manage/develop multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as ensure team adheres to best practices and process. Develop vision for team around roles and responsibilities, and structure team to ensure greatest impact, efficient use of resource, and alignment to business structures Prepare and present regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with end‑users of the systems, and enhance the quality of deliverables. Ensure staff follows Citi documented policy and procedures as well as maintain desktop procedures and supporting documentation for filings on a current basis and in comprehensive manner Monitor and manage approach/end results, budgeting, planning, policy formation, and contribute to future strategy of the area(s) Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements Research and resolve issues, provide recommendations, and escalated to senior management as needed Manage and maintain all disaster recovery plans, oversee appropriate testing, and provide permit‑to‑operate for new applications Lead and deliver local staff forums, present global, regional, and location news and updates to engage team in the progress of organization

  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Solutions Sales for South (Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay)

The Salesperson will be responsible for originating, executing, and sustaining a market‑leading Solutions Sales strategy across Financial Institutions and Corporate Clients. This role spans all solution products and requires close coordination across product, coverage, and control partners to deliver strategic growth, deepen client relationships, and reinforce the firm’s leadership position in the region.

The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in driving complex, solution‑led businesses, originating landmark strategic transactions, and leading multi‑product initiatives across geographically diverse markets. They will design and execute regional Solutions strategies aligned with global priorities while tailoring delivery to local client needs and market dynamics.

This role reports to the LAS Sales Head and is based in Santiago, Chile.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

Regional Strategy Leadership and Execution

  • Define and implement a cohesive regional Solutions strategy across multiple product lines, aligned with Global Solutions priorities and regional growth objectives.
  • Drive ambitious growth in market share and wallet penetration across the Financial Institution and Corporate client franchise in the region.
  • Originate, structure, and execute high‑impact, strategic, and landmark solution transactions, positioning the firm as a trusted partner to clients.
  • Lead the coordinated execution of the regional strategy in close partnership with Product Structuring teams and Product Specialists.
  • Partner effectively with key ICG businesses and functions—including Banking, CMO, and the CCO network—to deliver integrated, client‑centric solutions.
  • Act as a senior Solutions ambassador in the region, representing the franchise with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

Experience, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Deep expertise in Markets and Solutions products, with a strong understanding of client needs, competitive dynamics, and regional market trends.
  • Demonstrated success in originating and executing complex solution‑led transactions across Financial Institutions and Corporate clients.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence geographically dispersed, multi‑product teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the intellectual rigor to anticipate industry trends and proactively shape the organization’s response to structural and regulatory change.

Governance, Risk, and Control Leadership

  • Work in close partnership with control functions including Legal, Compliance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure robust governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
  • Ensure all Solutions activity is conducted in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk appetite.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong culture of responsible finance, ethics, and accountability across the Solutions organization.

Travel: Regular travel, as required to support clients, teams, and business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Education: MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of progressively senior experience within financial institutions and/or corporate client coverage, with demonstrated success in revenue generation, solutions origination, and commercial execution at a Director level or equivalent.
  • Leadership & Influence: Strong executive presence with a proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus among senior internal and external stakeholders within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Market & Client Expertise: Deep expertise in financial markets, including strong knowledge of local market structure, regulatory environment, and competitive dynamics, as well as established client relationships across Financial Institutions and Corporate clients in Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay.
  • Regional Perspective: Broad experience operating across Chile, Uruguay and/or Paraguay with a demonstrated ability to adapt commercial strategies to differing market, regulatory, and client environments.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish required.
