Where do you fit in?

The Sr. Manager, Data Management (eCOA) is responsible for working with the Data Analyst team and other internal project team members to provide data management services for our customers to ensure on time and accurate deliverables. Responsibilities include leading a team of clinical data analysts & data entry associates, providing data management guidance to internal project team members and customers; reviewing data management documents; and facilitating/verifying data clarifications and data changes.

  • Communicates effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team to complete assigned tasks on time and within budget.
  • Collaborates across functional groups to address technical issues and escalations impacting quality/efficiency and drives technical initiatives within Data Management.
  • Provides data management guidance and communicates with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of data management activities.
  • Provides effective oversight of documentation creation/upkeep, data transfers, data clarifications,data corrections, and external data reconciliationwith external (customer, CRA, site) and/or internal stakeholders.
  • Leads process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency / quality, mitigate operations risks, improve team performance, and meet departmental objectives and corporate objectives.
  • Ensures strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Working Instructions and Best Practices; develops and improves these, as needed.
  • Decision Making and Influence

    • Participates in special data-related projects as needed.
    • Assists with departmental initiatives and projects as required.
    • Represents Data Management in client visits, audits, inspections and bid defenses as needed.

    You’ll need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Medicine, Statistics, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience; Certification in CDM is a plus.
  • Proven ability to provide inspiring leadership to the team, ensuring members are adequately trained and adhere to project-specific, global, standardized data management processes.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written) and collaboration skillsacross technical and non-technical cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to complete high quality technical documentationand to understand requirements related to system and front-end functionality, including data process flow.
  • Demonstrates extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.
  • Strong ability to problem-solve, and quickly learn and apply new skills, procedures and approaches.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple competing priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task in an extremely fast-paced work environment with minimal direct supervision.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment, providing support to team members & establishing/maintaining effective work relationships with team members and co-workers, within and across functional areas.
  • Demonstrates proactive and positive approach to tasks and projects overall, as well as adapting to the types of scheduling & process changes that are inherent in a fast-paced business.
  • In-depth working knowledge of SQL and strong knowledge of database structures; knowledge of other programming languages such as SAS is a plus.
  • We’d be thrilled to hear that you also have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data management (preferably in the clinical trial space) and 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and other software technologies and applications.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or JIRA Service Management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (GCP, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Knowledge of CDISC standards and clinical trial systems/tools is a plus.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation, preferably with AWS
    • 3+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
    • 3+ Experience delivering cloud projects or cloud based solutions
    • Able to communicate effectively in English, within technical and business settings.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
    • Proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
    • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
    • Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation, preferably with AWS

In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

    Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Sr. Delivery Consultant - Data Analytics you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS.

    As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project. These professional services engagements will focus on customer solutions such as Data and Business intelligence, machine Learning and batch/real-time data processing.

    Key job responsibilities

    As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for:

    • Help the customer to define and implement data architectures (Data Lake, Lake House, Data Mesh, etc). Engagements include short on-site projects proving the use of AWS Data services to support new distributed computing solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services.
    • Deliver on-site technical assessments with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales visits, understanding customer requirements, creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
    • Engaging with the customer’s business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment. Create new artifacts that promotes code reuse.
    • Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Amazon EMR and Amazon Redshift.

    Since this is a customer facing role, you might be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed, up to 50%.
